Erin Panelli is the Independent Regional Manager for the Baby Signs Institute™ for Yolo, Solano, Napa and Contra Costa counties. Erin first started working with babies and sign language in 1990, at UC Davis as a research assistant with Baby Signs® founders, Drs. Acredolo and Goodwyn. Erin tested the 24 month subjects in the NIH study and was so amazed by the results that she began searching for ways to use sign language in different areas in her career.
Her background includes a B.S. in Psychology from UC Davis and M.S. in Marriage, Family, Child Counseling. She has experience in infant and preschool education as well as counseling and social work. Erin worked for many years as a social worker for developmentally disabled individuals and found sign language to be an amazing tool for many special needs children. She used the Baby Signs® Program with her own two children and discovered the parent/child signing experience to be the most rewarding of all.
Erin started working for Baby Signs® as an Independent Certified Instructor in 2005. By January of 2006 she also worked for Baby Signs, Inc., the corporate office, as a recruiter and instructor support team staff. She currently is the Baby Signs® ICI Program Specialist, providing training and support to over 700 instructors internationally. She thoroughly enjoys her instructor work with local families as well as helping to train and support her regional team of instructors and other Baby Signs® instructors around the world.
